Tandem PAragliding
Having arrived at the take off area, you will first be greeted by lush green meadows, a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and a glimpse of the gigantic Dolomites mountain range. Here you will receive some instructions on the tandem paragliding process after which your job is simply to take in your surroundings and be amazed!
Your tandem pilot will be Manfred Lobenwein, a highly experienced paragliding professional with over 23 years of flying experience. It is his job to adjust the seat belt system (like a large backpack), provide you with the necessary safety equipment and prepare you for your tandem flight! As soon as the paraglider is laid out and ready to go you will have no questions left unanswered, and once the safety check has been completed it is time for lift off.
Tandem paragliding differs from tandem skydiving in that you are NOT jumping out of an airplane! With tandem paragliding you are securely connected to the tandem pilot by a special safety mechanism. Upon take off, in the take off area the passenger is standing in front of the tandem pilot when the pilot gives the command 3-2-1- GO! At this point both you and your tandem pilot will actively move forward at a running or walking pace. After just a few steps forward your feet begin to lift from the earth and you are officially airbourne! Who would have thought that it was this easy!
As you gain altitude to begin to soar, flying high over the mountain meadows and forests- all you will feel in this moment is sheer joy and excitement, the feeling of weightlessness, boundless freedom is utterly unforgettable. Now its time to lean back, relax and enjoy your tandem flight to its fullest, see the sunny city of Lienz from a birds eye view and find yourself enchanted by the stunning views of the Dolomites.
After around 20 minutes of flight time, your tandem guide will seek out the runway and you will be gently lowered back to earth, landing is just as easy as take off!

Once at the top you and your companion can feast on the many culinary delights found at the nearby mountain restaurant, or relax in the sun with the stunning view to feast your eyes on.

The ascent to the take off area will be made either by car, for the very sporty by foot, or by e-bike. This experience is best enjoyed early in the morning, with a hearty breakfast to accompany a beautiful sunrise view of the Hochstein mountain hut, before paragliding down the valley.

Einfach & ohne Vorkenntnisse
Ein Gleitschirm Tandemflug ist für Jedermann geeignet. Es funktioniert ganz einfach und bequem. Du brauchst keinerlei Erfahrung oder Vorkenntnisse zum Tandem Paragliden. Jeder der sich den Traum vom Fliegen in der einfachsten Art und Weise erfüllen will, kann das ganz einfach mit uns erleben
Jeder kann fliegen 0-99 Jahre
Es gibt absolut keine Altersbeschränkung beim Fliegen, es ist lediglich ein Mindestgewicht von 30 kg vorausgesetzt. Unser jüngster Passagier war gerade mal 4 Jahre alt, auch eine Pensionistin mit 78 Jahren erfüllte sich mit AIRTIME AUSTRIA ihren lang gehegten Traum.

Wir fixieren den Flugtag und den Startplatz je nach Jahreszeit, Wind- und Wetterlage und treffen uns beim vereinbarten Treffpunkt.
Je nach Wahl des Startplatzes geht es mit den Lienzer Bergbahnen oder mit dem Auto zum jeweiligen Startplatz.
Startvorbereitungen
„Safety first“ Sicherheit wird bei AIRTIME AUSTRIA sehr groß geschrieben. Sofern es die Wind- und Wetterbedingungen zulassen kann das Abenteuer Gleitschirm Tandemfliegen beginnen.
Der Gleitschirm wird auf dem Startgelände vom Piloten sauber aufgelegt und alles wird für den Tandemflug perfekt vorbereitet. Du wirst mit dem Sitzgurt, der wie ein großer Rucksack ausschaut und mit einem Helm ausgestattet.
Erklärung & Einweisung
Vor dem Abflug erklärt dir dein Pilot den genauen Ablauf über den Start, den Flug und die Landung. Ein Gleitschirm Tandemflug ist definitiv kein Tandemsprung oder Fallschirmsprung, bei dem man aus einem Flugzeug springt.
Beim Tandem Paragliding stehen der Passagier und der Pilot gemeinsam mit den Beinen am Boden des Startplatzes hintereinander und sind durch eine spezielle Vorrichtung fest miteinander verbunden.
Sobald alles erklärt wurde und deinerseits keine Fragen mehr offen sind geht es los!
Jetzt wird noch dein Flugticket ausgestellt und dann heißt es: It´s boarding time, fasten your seatbealts and are you ready for takeoff?
Start – 3-2-1-LOS!
Beim Starten ist es sehr wichtig, dass man aktiv nach vorne geht, bzw. läuft und das so lange bis man keinen Boden mehr unter den Füßen spürt. Mit dem Kommando 3-2-1-LOS und nur wenigen Schritten nach vorne entgleitet dir der Boden unter den Füßen und du hebst ab!
Flug
Nun bist du in der Luft und fliegst frei wie ein Vogel am Himmel und erlebst ein unbeschreibliches Feeling mit Aussichten, von denen andere nur träumen können. Die Welt liegt dir jetzt zu Füßen, du schwebst lautlos über der Stadt Lienz und gleitest wie der König der Lüfte an den Dolomiten vorbei. So fühlt sich Freiheit an!
Landung
Nach einer Flugzeit von ca. 20 Minuten geht es in Richtung Landebahn. Kurz vor der Landung richtest du dich ganz einfach auf und du wirst von deinem Tandem Piloten wieder sanft und sicher am Boden abgesetzt.
Voraussetzungen:

- mind. 30 kg Körpergewicht bis max. 110 kg Körpergewicht
